Janelle Gray, Ph.D. is a creative writer and educator who teaches Composition and Creative Writing at Texas Christian University. She is a produced playwright with published
creative and academic work spanning prose, poetry, theater, and TV/昀椀lm. Gray’s research
and interdisciplinary methodology explore the connections between creative works, history, and actions toward justice and equity in creative and academic spaces.
Matthew W. Baker, Ph.D. is a poet and professor and lives in Dallas where he teaches
Creative Writing at the University of Texas at Dallas. His research focuses on aesthetics
and contemporary U.S. poetry. He is also the author of the chapbook Undoing the Hide’s
Taut Musculature (FLP 2019), and other craft essays and poems appear in Cleaver, Muzzle
Magazine, The Southern Review, The Atlanta Review, and Booth Journal, among others.
Assistant Managing Editors
Abhipriya Priyadarshi is a creative writer, translator, and educator pursuing her Ph.D.
in English Literature at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research focuses on representations of women’s agency in Anglophone Literature, and she also teaches Rhetoric
and Composition at UT Dallas. She previously worked as a Research Associate for the
Texas Senate in Austin, where she conducted legislative research and analysis. Additionally, she has published scienti昀椀c papers in Bioinformatics and has experience working as
a research scientist in India.
Kim Horner is author of the memoir Probably Someday Cancer (University of North
Texas Press, 2019) and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in publications including
Lana Turner, So It Goes, and The Texas Observer. Kim, a former newspaper reporter,
earned an MFA in creative non昀椀ction from The University of Arkansas at Monticello
and is a PhD in literature candidate at The University of Texas at Dallas. She is a 2026
Macondo Workshop participant.
Heidi K. Sawitzke, MLA, MEd, is a novelist, screenwriter, and educator. Her work blurs
the lines between history, psychology, and literature to analyze human patterns of behavior. She specializes in writing for television, placing as a semi昀椀nalist in prominent
screenwriting competitions such as Save The Cat and ScreenCraft. Heidi devours new
knowledge, and the study of craft excites her almost as much as applying it. Because of
this, she cultivates creative writing spaces through her website and social media. Heidi
aims to inspire others to pursue their aspirations and strives to model that through her own
daily actions.
