i will come back to you in multitudes.
not just as a shadow or a dream,
but as the absence of loneliness.
& in each coming,
i will gift you a galaxy
where you will dreamwalk
with the stars in your silhouette.
i have seen them fall to your name.
on my next coming, i will bring
the sun to your lips. the coziness
of my love will not let you melt.
i love you that i begged the water
to wave your face from the tides
that would later sink our boat.
i still love you, and i am coming for you
even as i drown.
